CYCLOMUNE 0.05% EYE DROPS contains Cyclosporin which belongs to the group of medicines called Immunosuppressants. It is used to treat severe dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) in children and in adolescents (aged between 4-18 years).
Dry Eye Syndrome (also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca) is an allergic eye condition that affects the transparent layer in the front part of the eye and the thin membrane covering the front part of the eye. It is characterized by excessive eye dryness, redness, itching, inflammation and discomfort. Persons having dry eye syndrome do not produce sufficient tears to lubricate and nourish the eyes.
