FLOMEX contains Fluorometholone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to treat ocular conditions such as inflammation of the eye due to injury, swelling, itching, redness, irritation, ocular trauma, conjunctivitis, and post-surgery.
Before using FLOMEX inform your doctor if you have blurred vision or other visual disturbances, eye infection, have or have been previously treated for herpes simplex, wear soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using FLOMEX and it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as safety is not established. Consult your doctor before using FLOMEX.
FLOMEX is not recommended for use in children (under 2 years of age) due to lack of safety and effectiveness. It should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). Consult your doctor before using FLOMEX. The most common side effects of using FLOMEX are increased pressure inside the eye, eye pain, eye irritation, an excess of tears, eye infection, itching or redness of the eye. Consult your physician if any of the symptom worsens.
