Zomelis P 15mg/100mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medications. Pioglitazone primarily acts on muscle, fat, and liver cells to enhance their insulin response, making it easier for these cells to take up glucose from the bloodstream. It also reduces the production of glucose by the liver, which is a common problem in people with type 2 diabetes. Vildagliptin helps increase insulin secretion in response to meals while suppressing the release of glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar levels. Therefore, the combined effect of these medicines helps decrease blood glucose levels.
